

John Waldrop, MDEven with the most up-to-date, high-tech-equipment, The Hughston Clinic's most valued assets are their physicians. One physician, in particular, John Waldrop, MD, was one of Dr. Hughston's longtime friends and colleagues.
Dr. Waldrop is a Georgia native, and like Dr. Hughston, he began as a small town doctor who has become known and respected nationally and internationally.
Dr. Waldrop is devoted to the community. He holds office or sits on committees to help improve the medical community for patients and athletes throughout the Chattahoochee Valley.
Dr. Waldrop has served the medical community as chief of orthopaedics at The Medical Center; previous clinical assistant professor, Department of Orthopaedics, at Tulane University; past president of The Stelling Society; vice president of the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital; and vice president and president of The Hughston Clinic.
Dr. Waldrop's dedication to serving the patient and providing the best possible patient care is demonstrated through his scientific study and research at the Hughston Clinic and the Hughston Foundation. Dr. Waldrop attends meetings of the medical community throughout the world to stay up-to-date on the latest treatment breakthroughs. At many of these meetings he presents his own research and findings to share his extensive knowledge and experience to improve patient care to everyone. His specialties and research interests include total joint replacement, arthroscopy, and knee, hip and shoulder problems.
